Croatia opens the 2,404 metres (7,887 ft) long Pelješac Bridge that spans the sea channel between Komarna and Pelješac and connects the country's southeastern semi-exclave to the rest of the country, bypassing Bosnia and Herzegovina's short coastal strip in the municipality of Neum.
