Tanzanian opposition leader Freeman Mbowe and 15 members of his Chadema party, who were arrested yesterday, are charged with terrorism, according to a statement from the party. Amnesty International condemns the charges and the United States said yesterday that Mbowe's arrest was "very concerning".
